Nice heading to Castanet

Friday, February 26, 2010
The national French team are not alone in having injured players. Suddenly the Nice infirmerie is full following last weeks match against Saint-Etienne.

The following players were injured during the game: wingers Julian Roman (hamstring) and Adrian Malavard (broken nose) and have joined an already substantial list of unavailable players: Beattie, Rouillier, Ducourtieux, Herrera, Delmotte, Warwick who are all still injured. Kacharava, who is playing with Georgia against Spain this weekend in a world cup qualifying match and Moxham, who is uneligible to play due to the international quota are also unavailable for selection.

Nice have proved this season that they can get results despite setbacks. Manu Boutet and Will Johnson are still able to field a competitive team this Sunday against Castanet for the first game of the playoffs. This is an important game for Rugby Nice Côte d'Azur since an away win to start the Jean-Pratt trophy would put Nice in a good position to reach the finals.
Rugby Nice Côte d'Azur will be joining Castanet on Saturday where a final training session will take place at 7pm at the home ground.
